By downloading, installing, or using the Ascend application ("App") or visiting our website ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Ascend.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers. They form a legally binding agreement between you and Ascend.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ascend. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
By using Ascend, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement and that you are not prohibited from doing so under the laws of your jurisdiction.
To access most features of Ascend, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

All payments are processed securely by Paddle. By providing payment information, you authorize Ascend to charge the applicable fees. Prices are in USD and are subject to change with advance notice.
For all paid subscriptions, you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date. No questions asked, no exceptions.
After the 14-day window, subscriptions are non-refundable but you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges. You retain access until the end of your current billing period.
You agree to use Ascend only for its intended purpose — personal fitness and wellness coaching. You must not:
Ascend is a fitness and wellness coaching application. It is not a medical service, medical device, or substitute for professional medical advice.
The workout plans, meal recommendations, recovery scores, and body scan insights provided by Ascend are for general informational and motivational purposes only.
All content, design, code, trademarks, and materials within the Ascend app and website are the exclusive property of Ascend and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Ascend for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Content you upload to Ascend (such as progress photos) remains yours. You grant Ascend a limited license to process and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascend and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
In no event shall Ascend's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to Ascend in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may delete your account and stop using Ascend at any time. Deletion removes your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Ascend reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect.
Continued use of Ascend after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time before the changes take effect.
